Wireless GSM alarms are a recent development which allow properties and areas that historically have been difficult to secure due to lack of power and or telephone lines. The RDAS portable alarm system is the first system of its kind anywhere in the world and has been designed specifically for rapid deployment in emergency security situations where traditional wired security systems have failed or in areas where power and telephone lines are not readily available.

The RDAS portable alarm system consists of a GSM communications unit contained within an impact and water proof Peli case. The case also houses the battery packs and for ease of portability, the arm / disarm switch and two PIR’s which are removed at the time of deployment. The case can then be concealed anywhere on site, out of the way.

Once the RDAS portable alarm system has been powered up and the control case concealed, it is simply a matter of putting up the PIR’s (2 come with the system as standard and can be expanded to 30) either with screws or high tack sticky pads and arming the system via the wireless arm / disarm switch that should be mounted close to the entrance / exit. The system can then be left for up to 12 months before batteries will need to be changed.

Power failures 

Many areas of the UK and indeed the world suffer from power failures, especially during winter months when weather can cause tress etc. to disrupt power lines. This can cause traditional style wired security systems to fail.
